'...disowning me and claiming I'm possessed by the devil.'

Ah, the life of a non-Trumplican conservative in modern America.

Quote: Rep. Adam Kinzinger on Sunday offered a glimpse of what it’s like being one of the 10 House Republicans who voted to impeach former President Donald Trump: Friends and family turned against him, and he was told he’s “possessed by the devil.”

I have no idea whether this current member of the GOP has good policies, or whether I even like his general political views.

But his stand defending the Constitution should be rewarded.

He’s a shining light in today’s Republican Party, despite the vast majority of his votes. He’s fundamentally asking conservatives to choose a path. If he fails so does the party.

So he’s got a PAC to support this now. It’s likely as valuable for any liberal to support that as it is any standard or local Democrat, all things considered. https://www.country1st.com/

I saw him on Meet The Press this morning, and I was pretty impressed. A Republican who actually makes sense and understands what his party faces, if they don't get their act together: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gEiW796DarI ... if the Repubs are smart, they should listen to this guy very carefully.

Was gonna donate $25, but it wants my address and phone number, etc.

We've pretty much answered the "...if Repubs were smart" question.

Well there still is time, and if they decide to go down the toilet with Orange Dump, that's their choice.

Problem is, Kinzinger's from Illinois, and I predict he'll flame out in disgrace or corruption like other Illinois Republican proteges and impresarios such as Aaron Shock, Jack Ryan , Bruce Rauner, or even Dennis Hastert, or just to name a few who come to mind off the top of my head. And of course honorable mention should go to the Illinois Gubernatorial Incarceration Rate!

Rep Tom Rice of SC got censured by the state GOP for voting to impeach Trump. Their reason was that 45s term was almost over and this is just a Dem game. Did not address the actual crime of inciting a deadly riot.

Rice chose country over party and risked his political career to do the right thing. History will remember him kindly. These other Republicans, no.

He's a denizen of the Tea Party class of 2010. No thanks - voted against impeachment Part I, in favor of punishing sanctuary cities, and to defeat the Equality Act. Let him roast with the rest.

Yeah, we had already established he's a Republican. At some point you have to acknowledge courage in people with whom you have political disagreements.
