Friends,
I've been using Voila for years to capture definable areas of the screen along with internal system (non microphone) audio.
For whatever reason (a recent Mojave update may have broken it), Voila no longer records system audio, and Apple's built in screen recording cannot capture the audio internally.
Do you have any other suggestions?
Thanks,
SR

I have not had luck getting anything to access the internal audio. Everything wants to use the built-in mic or an external one. So I put the computer in a quiet room turn up the volume and partially close the lid, then let it record off the speakers. not elegant, but it works.
I'm hoping to see a better solution here.

Thanks for your replies.
Just found there is a successor to Voila called Capto. Used the demo last night and it will capture screen recordings with internal/system audio.

For older operating systems up to maybe 10.12, the free SoundFlower lets you direct your system audio to your recording software.
Rogue Amoeba's Loopback works for more recent operating systems.
...BTW: Did you try giving Voila permission to access your audio in the Security & Privacy > Microphone settings?

Capto is $26 in the App store but $17 on their website. FYI.
