“CSI” is coming back to CBS.

A sequel series, “CSI: Vegas,” has been picked up for the 2021-22 season, the network announced Wednesday.

“Facing an existential threat that could bring down the Crime Lab, a brilliant new team of forensic investigators must welcome back old friends and deploy new techniques to preserve and serve justice in Sin City,” a description of the show reads.

Original “CSI” stars William Petersen and Jorja Fox will reprise their roles as Gil and Sara, respectively, joined by a new cast including Paula Newsome, Matt Lauria, Mel Rodriguez and Mandeep Dhillon.

Wallace Langham will also return to the series as lab tech David Hodges.

I really enjoyed the original CSI. It will be interesting to see if the revamped CSI can be as good as the original.

Might be good. It was never as good after Peterson left.
