Halt and Catch Fire on Netflix
#1
I love it when I stumble across a series I'd never heard of that ticks all my boxes like this one. As a boomer I remember all the exciting tech developments that were popping up during the 70's/80's. They seemed like magic. Still do, in fact. I found this series engaging through the entire 4 seasons.

How come none of you ever told me about it? :oldfogette:

IMHO, binge-worthy.

Here's some mention of it from six years ago.

Good series I really enjoyed it during it's original run on AMC. Friend of mine that I worked with in the late 70's through mid 80's sent me an email just after the first episode aired and told me I had to watch it. And then I watched every episode as it came out. I too lived and worked through that time period.

Every time, just as I thought it had gone off the rails, it got really good again. Every season different. Worth taking the whole ride.

Watched maybe the first six or eight episodes. Interesting concept and I like the tech aspect, but I just don't need that kind of stuff in my brain.

I stopped watching after a couple seasons. Not because I disliked it but because I didn't enjoy it enough to consider it a must-see in the competition for my limited time. I might watch the last couple seasons at some point--or not.

I got caught up in the first season but then lost track of it, by now it's probably a bit dated (besides I have over 200 other series to catch up on - currently updating The Americans)

First season, they were going for drama.

Then they realized their mistake and went for nostalgia.

If you dropped out early, you missed the best stuff.

We never did watch season 3 or 4. I'd love to finish it. Lost those seasons when lightning got our DVR.
