I did Vegas in July five years ago.
I will take 10 below for a month before I ever get that hot again.

I've never been that hot nor that cold, but I'll take cold over heat any day.

107F at my house right now. We've kept the house locked up so it is a mere 89F upstairs, about 10 degrees cooler down. We're sheltering in place in the downstairs art studio.

I lived in AZ for a few years, you get used to it.
After you leave for a few years and go back in the summer, your wonder what in the holy hell are people thinking living in AZ.
It was 113 here today. When I went outside my first remark was, "this feels like Arizona!"

well, we're having a cool down!
We topped off at 70º F today, and the forecast for Wednesday is 50º F high with showers. We will be very cool for the next week or so.
I'll take the cool stuff any day over what you folks are enduring. I HATE the extreme heat. I don't function well 90º F or warmer, let alone triple digits!!

Did Baluchistan in August. No AC. You just keep hydrated and try to stay in the shade. 50C most days. Even the camels hid in the shade of the wadi banks.

Another heat hater here! But if it's not the soup that the eastern half of the country gets, I think I can take more heat at 100f than 90f with air one can cut with a knife.
