Medicaid on the “block” (grants)

TN, a leader in limiting Medicaid expansion welcomes approval that gives states unprecedented power to determine who is eligible and how monies are spent.

Because apparently, being poor in one state is curiously different from being poor in another.

Nothing wrong with creating a patchwork of weaker incentives across the land, is there? What’s a little watering-down of the idea being the “Great Society” gonna hurt, right?

I’m sure it is an unexplained freak of nature. Haven’t you noticed when driving thru states? Strange but true. :ROTFL:

“Block Grants” == mega graft opportunity. That’s it.
Like the “Payroll protection grants” that $B corporations, churches, rich jerks, and the dude that broke into Pelosi’s office.

With NO ACCOUNTING.

Yeah that payroll protection grant didn't amount to much for me. No one got laid off at the non-profit association where I work, but then again the association wasn't eligible for payroll protection either. Interestingly I still have to buy stuff and pay taxes with my paycheck, even though it got deducted for a while a few months ago because of Covid.
