Kia may be taking Apple Carplay to a new level
#1
Kia stock had its best day in the last two decades after rumors have it entering a deal to produce a car for Apple. According to a report by the newspaper Dong-a Ilbo, Apple is about to invest $3.6 billion in the automaker for a partnership to build a new vehicle.

According to the newspaper, Kia would start producing cars in 2024 at its factory in Georgia, with an initial target of 100,000 cars per year. That capacity could ramp up to 400,000 annually.

Last month, Kia's parent company, Hyundai was reported to be in talks with Apple to produce an electric vehicle.

Disagree. A car is a much more complicated device than a phone. It's taken Tesla over a decade to get a simplified, non ICE car, 90% right.

Article proceeds to not offer any justification beyond, "because they can."

$1 says the car will require a unique charging cable.
