Which private jet should I buy? I don't want to look like a fool in front of my rich friends

Gulfstream G700 or Bombardier Global 7500 or Boeing BBJ 747-8 or Airbus ACJ A380.

You don't get to be a billionaire by spending all of your money on frivolities.

If you don't need it every week, consider jet-sharing.

Maybe some Gulfstream, for the times I don't want to left-seat.

A BD-5J would be fun, but I'd rather have a T-38 Talon.

Anybody who'd look askance at me can get their own damn plane.

or maybe

...in case I wanted to take a friend.

A Tomcat isn't possible, and a Hog would just look wrong without the GAU-8.

Probably could find a surplus Cessna A-37 Dragonfly for sale down in
South America. Once heard it called "a flying MGB" !
(Side-by-side dual seating.)
Powered by twin GE J85-J2/5 turbojets (also in the T-38 Talon)
