DVD to iPad: what is the easiest way?
#1
I have a 45 min video on a DVD that I would like to rip, make some minor edits (remove intro, but a few 30 second segments in the middle) and then put on an iPad. What is the easiest way to do this?

I think HandBrake is for ripping DVDs. At least I know that was the tool I used a decade ago.

Then I think I could edit in iMovie.

And once I have the final cut, how should I export?

This is low resolution DVD equality, I don't need the best quality.

handbrake for ripping and editing. you can specify start-end timestamps in handbrake so you could theoretically do everything in handbrake and skip iMovie, unless you need anything more than a basic cut at the beginning/end. I think you can batch multiple clips at once--select your clips, "add to queue" and then start. that should take care of it.

“ I have several options “

Yes, you do! Smile

Pre Catalina, I’d send it through iTunes.
