Thermostat recommendations?
#1
My thermostat screen appears to be dying. It's a fairly simple Honeywell RTH8580WF1007 green screen. It's only fancy feature is I can connect to it via wifi or the internet. Recommendations for a replacement?

I have a Honeywell that's supposed to connect to the internet so I can control it with an app. Hasn't worked with wifi for years. I connected it when we first got it, and it worked for a couple of months. Then something happened and it disconnected and I couldn't get it back. After a few months, I repeatedly followed the instructions and finally managed to get it to connect again. Again, it worked for a few months, then disconnected again. After several futile attempts to reconnect, I gave up.

I like the way my nest looks but ecobee has better smart home connectivity. That said, there's a growing number of smart thermostats out there and I haven't been shopping recently.

Also, fuck AI setting my temperature. I just want an interface that doesn't suck.

For $50 the Wyze has been solid for me.

Still like the NEST the kids got me for Christmas a number of years ago. As a google product, the app and support have been pretty solid. Still... google has a history of abandoning things...

I like ecobee but if you want to stay with Honeywell there's this one:
