Covid Got me the Job.
#1
They offered. Money is incredible for ICU. I took it. I'll throw myself into it and make it work. Should be interesting with covid lurking about.

Nurse friend at another hospital recently had a vaccinated patient who still contracted it and now has bad pneumonia. So I got that to look forward too.

Maybe I'll pick up a new 16 inch Apple silicon MBP once they're out. Would be nice to have the latest tech. And an 85 inch TV...and a hot meal.

congrats. good on you.

My BFF is a MSN, RN, CEN, CFRN, CPEN, CTRN, TCRN, CCRN, CMTE and now chairperson for the BCEN. Hes seen the *really bad* stuff as flight nurse... and he's happy to be no where near the ICU. Hes says its depressing at best.

It is medical torture, vegetable gardening, sadness, and the occasional happiness from a good outcome. But I know that going in.
