Interesting. I've had my oral B professional 9000 since, probably 2002. It is finally dying an agonizingly slow death. I have never discharged it to empty. I have always kept it on the charger ring. It now barely lasts 1 day without sitting on the ring. I'd say that's pretty good for 18 years. No! 19 years!
I'm looking at another OralB. I have found that the round head of the OralB does an awesome job of getting at my back molars and beyond. I got all my teeth, too. Nothing pulled.

I started out on oral b and switched to sonicare and was hoping the hygienist would sing the praises of sonicare and nothing changed for me. ymmv

... on that Oral-B two-for-one deal. It just looked like a great deal: it works out to be nearly exactly the same amount of money I paid 10-15 years ago for the two Oral-B Professional brushes that I bought, and obviously those lasted quite a long time. Plus I still have a lot of the brush heads (and I added a package of two brush heads to my order, so as to get the $20 discount). I really like having two brushes because it means I always have one charged, ready to go, and each brush is getting less use.
