Israel on Sunday approved the third coronavirus vaccine booster shot for all public. in an effort to curb the raging Delta variant.

Health Ministry Director General Prof. Nachman Ash announced the move during a daily press briefing.

"The decrease in the effectiveness of the vaccines is proving to be significant," he said.

"Today we are expanding the possibility of receiving a booster hot for the entire population, provided that five months have passed since they've received the second dose."

Five months, eight months.

What's the difference, a few thousand lives?

And let's wait another 6 months to decide what to do with those 14 million who got J&J. No biggie.

I wish I could get my third shot now, before I travel to NYC at the end of Sept. I am not eligible till Oct 18, unless I want to lie about being immunocompromised. I suspect I could get the third shot pretty easily, but not sure if I want to fib about it or not.

I'll be taking the 3rd once I clear enough time between wife's MD visits - that'll be Tues.

Get one in NYC. Use your passport for ID and lie about being vaccinated previously.

Lol. The issue is about lying to get a vaccine, not being able to get one if I lie.
Plus, I would want to get the third jab a couple of weeks before I left, so I would have time to build up the extra protection.

Just get the shot. My understanding is that Supply exceeds Demand, so don't feel bad about it.

I got my shot in May, because I didn't want to lie about my risk conditions. I know younger people without any conditions who got their shot weeks or even months earlier than me, because they were not 100% honest about their risk conditions. anyway...

FWIW if you’re capable of getting the shot , don’t wait for the mistaken idea that it’s a limited supply. It’s not.

Thanks all.
I was looking at the CVS sign up and it seemed pretty easy just to say I want a shot and you could get one.
I might just try to get an appointment around the middle of next month.
