MBA - broken glass

The glass on my kid's MBA has a crack. LCD is fine. Can Apple replace just the glass or do I need a new screen as well? Looks like it's close to $600 to do the full screen replacement. At which point, I might be better off selling for parts and getting a M1 for just a few hundred more.

Make, model?

There's been postings about M1 MBAs' screens cracking 'for no apparent reason'.

If it's an Apple thing, maybe they'll have a warranty repair program.

If it's not an M1, I got nothing.
