200 people, outdoor ceremony, open air reception. All was beautiful, happy couple, happy families and friends.

All grandparents were there including my Mom, who looked gorgeous. So glad my neice and her fiance went ahead with plans.

10 days before, both niece and fiance tested positive for covid.
They attended his graduation in New York and apparently got it there. They are both fine.

Brave new world.

I just heard Mick Jagger tested positive. They had to cancel a show on short notice.

Brave New World indeed.

Family is important. I hope everyone stays healthy. My sister and her family just got over a week of COVID. After two years of super-cautious living and vaccinating and everything. Fortunately they recovered well.

Talk about testing the 'in sickness and in death' vow.

Congrats! It’s nice when it goes off without a hitch.

Our daughter and her fiancé are having a commitment ceremony on July 9. He is 36, she is 31. The would lose supplemental security income (SSI) if they marry and they simply can’t afford that. They will be marrying, I mean committing, in a park on the Mississippi River flats in town. They toned down the ceremony due to COVID45 and are only having 50 or so guests; a large number of family members are not being invited because they are antivaxxers and she is immune suppressed. She and my wife have been working on the planning for several years because the ceremony was to take place in 2020. This evening my wife and I spent a couple of hours working on discussing food from the caterer as well as trying to find shoes that she can wear because she has nasty gout and bunions - not easy to find shoes stylish enough for my wife to present to her to make a final choice. I’m so glad the two of them like to do the planning and shopping. I may post a pic or two here.

Congrats to your daughter and family Speedy!

A lot of us women wore comfortable flats at the niece's wedding because of the outdoor setting. There a lot of cute options out there.

Congrats to Lemon Drop, Speedy and their loved ones.

It stuck me recently how we as a species find a way to insert love into every facet of our endeavors. Could even our most advanced computers count every love song ever written?

Who knows? Our love of love may end up being our saving grace.
