Best cheap way to watch local Warriors NBA games live online?
#1
Hi!

Topic title says it all. Last year I switched from comcast to youtube.tv which was ok, but the only thing I would miss was the warriors games so i canceled youtube.tv after the season ended. there must be a less expensive way? a friend recommended NBA.tv. sounded perfect $14.99 for every game, which i don't care about but:
NBA

NBA LEAGUE PASS

$14.99/MO

BLACKOUT NOTICE

Games are subject to local and national blackouts.Learn More

BLACKOUT NOTICE

Check local restrictions by entering your zip code

warriors
Local Blackouts

Based on your current location, you are unable to watch Warriors games LIVE via NBA League Pass and NBA TV. An archivy.o hpjjygiopmg"ve of any locally blacked out game will be available 3 days after the broadcast for League Pass subscribers. League Pass subscribers can also listen to these games live.

Nationally Broadcast Games

Games broadcast on ABC, TNT, ESPN, and NBA TV will not be available to watch LIVE on NBA League Pass.NBA League Pass susbcribers will have access to live radio broadcasts, and archives of these games will be available to watch 3 hours after the broadcast concludes.

exactly what i DON'T want!

I watch tv/games on a trash can mac with a 22" monitor.

any suggestions for a simple solution?

You need some sort of tuner, perhaps this would work for you - https://www.amazon.com/Mediasonic-Digita...B081TPB6D7

Are the Warriors games even on broadcast? Down here, it's a big deal that some (not all, only about a dozen) Clippers games are being broadcast on a free OTA station.

Maybe a VPN would work with NBA.tv, since you probably need your "location" to be outside of the Bay Area to get around the local blackout.

Maybe get a VPN and tell NBAtv you are in, Denver or somewhere NOT local?

yes, every warriors game except those on tnt or espn, or playoff games after the first round is broadcast locally.

Will a SW VPN definitely outsmart the NBA? Easy to set up a SW VPN to show a different address?

I should probably set up an NBA account using my sisters address in WA State and use her CC to pay.

Thanks everyone!

I can't find NBC Sports Bay Area on the Sling TV list. I was pondering that as a move from YouTubeTV, but I guess no dice.

If the Warriors do well, you'll only have to pay for 10 months worth… (tu)

hi,

a google search turned up:
1. that sling supports league pass.
2. that multiple vpn's support avoiding local channel blocks by signing up for league pass international, using a vpn server in another country.

league pass also covers clippers fans:
