siliconing the sink valve cartridge
#1
prolly not a word either.
in putting the kitchen faucet back together, for the time being ....
I have always greased the cartridge threads and O ring.
I assume in order top avoid the extraction debacle again, I should also be silicon greasing the escutcheon threads and stem hole ribs?
That is the best idea?

I think I would use some ant-seize compound, rather than silicon grease on the threads.

Exactly.

Silone lube might work if it were inconvenient to get actual an actual anti-seize compound.

And one is not going to wait 30yrs before accessing the innards.

I'd just look for a familiar brand name and make sure it said 'anti-seize' in the description.
