Why all the doom n gloom? I think it’s great. We’ll find places where it will work really well (the movie on an airplane) but I’m not sure how my husband and I watch Ted Lasso together.

I wish Steven Hawking were still alive to use it.

sync the start time - you can watch it together even if you're apart :-)

I'm torn between wanting one because it does a lot of things I think would be very useful (gesture detection for interface manipulation) and hoping this flops because, well, if it doesn't I think it heralds the Singularity.

Mind you, even if it fails as badly as the Newton the Singularity may still be inevitable but a flop here should buy us nearly a decade...

Lots of people, alone, with their headsets.

there are lots of people alone - period

I think some of you lack imaginiation on how these came be used with a group of friend.

But 90% of the use will be for porn just like video and the internet...

Its audio is an aspect on which I'm not clear.

It seems like this might be louder than open back headphones, though it was shown being used on a plane.

It just doesn't seem like someone could watch Tokyo Drift or John Wick on a plane at night, especially.

That's not a worry for me, as these would never leave the house with me.

Remember that Steve Martin movie where he invented those eyeglasses that wouldn’t slip off your nose? Unintended consequences…

They specifically mentioned (and showed) it being used with AirPods Pro while on a plane.

Tim didn’t have the right mantra. Remember this one? “It’s an iPod, a phone and an internet communicator. Are you getting it?”
