Interesting information about the God Bless The USA Bible

Trump is now shilling the Lee Greenwood "God Bless the USA" Bible, which failed just 3 years ago... because the MAGA crowd will fall for almost anything.

My Anabaptist ancestors would have had a cow were you to bundle the Bible with a government document or symbol of any sort.

Good stuff. Thanks. He's sneakily compelling.

I cannot find anything showing that this Bible was published before now. There's tons of articles about Harper Collins not publishing it, and about the huge backlash that prevented its publication, and the switch to a King James version, and plenty saying that it will come out in Fall of 2021.

However, I haven't seen a single reference to it actually happening aside from a brief mention in a 2021 article stating that it was being sold on Greenwood's website, and since that link isn't any good I can only guess it was selling pre-orders that never happened.

The linked video never says that it got published, either. So I guess it took the Trump name to get someone (who seems to wish to remain anonymous) to publish this book.

I do have to mention that it is going to look great on the bookshelf next to this:

"The custom Bible’s Tennessee-based seller, marketing firm Elite Source Pro. led by Hugh Kirkpatrick, lost a manufacturing agreement to print the New International Version Bible text after a petition circulated in response to reporting by ReligionUnplugged, asking Zondervan and HarperCollins to drop the project."

"The Bible was marketed for pre-sale for $49.99 and expected to ship in September 2021 for the 20th anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks."

"Kirkpatrick initially requested 1,000 “God Bless the USA” Bibles and then based on pre-sales, asked for 20,000 more. The Bible was doing “very well in pre-sale” with about 700 orders, Kirkpatrick told ReligionUnplugged before the Bible’s agreement with HarperCollins was reported."

"In the end, HarperCollins decided to halt production of the “God Bless the USA” Bible. They worked “very graciously” with Kirkpatrick, he said, to give him digital files of the Bible that he plans to print with a King James translation that is not copyrighted. The whole ordeal only set him back a few hundred dollars, he said. When asked if he had paid for the first 1,000 Bibles that HarperCollins had agreed to print, Kirkpatrick said he wasn’t supposed to comment on that."

I recognize Junior Don and Mike Huckabee with Greenwood (and I think Kayleigh McEnany), but does anyone know who the others are?

At least this gave them the opportunity to eliminate the book of Judges. (Stolen from YouTube.)

I think they are all right-wing news hosts aside from Travis Tritt, second row left. He was always a dorky looking guy.

700 pre-sales and Democrats get to call half the US idiots? That's a pretty good deal. I am pretty sure no one, including MAGAs cares about this.
