Former President Donald Trump can’t find an insurance company to underwrite his bond to cover the massive judgment against him in the New York attorney general’s civil fraud case, his lawyers told a New York appeals court.
Trump’s attorneys said he has approached 30 underwriters to back the bond, which is due by the end of this month.
Trump’s lawyers have asked the appeals court to delay posting the bond until his appeal of the case is over, arguing that the value of Trump’s properties far exceed the judgment.

I hope the appeals court tells him to pound sand.

Not a problem, he is so rich he can just put up the cash. Or float a no-interest loan with Vlad.

I expect he'll get another accommodation. Every time a court does this we move further and further from application of equality under law. Trust in another whole branch of government being undermined by one man.

For the $91 million, the CEO of Chubb owed a favor for a cushy paycheck from Trump’s trade advisory committee. And while he didn’t say what the collateral was, he said he had collateral for 100% of the value of the loan.
One might think there’d be others who owe him favors. So it seems that he doesn’t have real property valued sufficiently to secure another loan after that $91 million was subtracted.

I'd be more inclined to think he owes others favors. We know he owes them money since he doesn't pay his bills.
