Nikon extends recall of EN-EL3 battery packs
#1
Nikon has extended its Nov. 8 recall of battery packs that come with the D70, D70S, D50 and D100 cameras. Only a few batteries are included in the recall. To check to see if your battery has been recalled, go to http://nikonusa.com and click on "EN-EL3 battery recall."

The lot number is difficult to find--it is in one of the recessed areas on the business side of the battery, printed in black ink on the black battery, so move it around and squint a bit and you'll figure it out.

My boss is a true-blue Nikon man. When you're given Nikon lenses, you make Nikonade. pRON was a Nikon man once too--I remember the Trib switched everyone three weeks or something before the Salt Lake Olympics and pRON was shooting hockey. Talk about nervous...

Well he's sure got to me. Hmmm, I just bought his 1Dmk2...maybe he had a hidden agenda.

I have friends with Canons and they're very nice. But I have a few hundred invested in Nikon lenses, so a switch would be expensive for me.

That makes sense. I was just giving you a hard time anyway Wink

It's true that my work has switched to the Canon system but I still like both platforms.

If you pick either one you are on good shape because their line extends all the way to digi pro cams.
