Bezos at work in DC? Amazon owns 20% of Rivian. Majority share.
Georgia should be happy to take the cash.
I hope they make an affordable model that is safe but doesn't look like a tank.

I was interested in Rivian until I heard - here, I think - about some side panel that, if it becomes damaged, costs something like $20k to get repaired/replaced.
Having just had a personal vehicle that cost less than that when I bought it a decade ago sustain $7.5 in damage from a freak accident, I can't imagine being willing to spend that much just so my car can look shiny and new again, assuming it is otherwise in working order (which, fortunately, mine was... opted for a $300 glass replacement and to keep the shrapnel damage on the siding since that money would by us the same model vehicle again used on the market.)
There are going to be all sorts of winners and losers games being played in DC for the next 4 years... I despise the idea that the best investment I can make might be to put it all in on DJT stock.

What corruption are you referring to?
Possibly the fact that Vivek and Elon are heading the "DOGE" which has a goal of $2 trillion
reduction improved efficiencies of the federal budget to facilitate another round of tax cuts for billionaires; the idea that the CEO of one EV company would be put in charge of deciding whether other EV companies should benefit from variance in government largesse that benefitted his company is a conflict of interest.
Conflict of interest signals corruption when the individuals involved do not recuse themselves and do not make transparent that they are not in fact involved with such decisions.
Why does this have to be explicitly spelled out? I don't know, but if you go by the current screwball logic of the SCOTUS, there is essentially no such thing as corruption in government, it's all just public/private partnerships which benefit some individuals and entities much more than the public at large.
Anywhere else that would be called... corruption.
Now we kinda gotta suck on it until the Return of the Jedi.
