Friggin USPS
#1
I was expecting some car parts today for a job on Sat that I had planned to do because it was forecast to be a balmy 45F. The parts had to travel about 120 miles to my home and now they are 1800 miles away.

I've had a package of car parts sitting in Louisanna since Dec. 27. I can finally apply for a refund today.

My car parts were not scheduled to arrive until Friday USPS but they arrived yesterday.

Amazon Prime is worth every penny.

I also lost my four point 6mm socket 3/8th drive. Had one in the box here next day for $4.

I always used USPS for overnight.

Because what I sent never needed to arrive overnight (a couple days later was fine)

And they rarely managed to deliver overnight, which meant I got my money back.

I mailed a package priority mail on Dec 10 - figuring that even with the Christmas overload it would be there by the 20th - it arrived on January 5!

No one loses 6mm, only 10mm sockets get lost. Confusedmiley-laughing001:

Not sure how it applies to your situation, but I find that anything that has to pass through NY/NJ area will get stuck for a few days. As long as it's not lost, I'm OK.

So now we know why USPS is in financial trouble.

Why is it metric sockets use imperial drive (3/8)?

All drives are imperial, 1/4, 3/8 or 1/2”

Sockets can be either imperial or metric.
