Amazon non-Prime customers....

I'm off work Tues/Weds/Thurs... need to put in an order, to arrive on one of those days.
There was a time when it would pretty consistently arrive a day ahead of the original estimate, but recently it seems like it runs somewhere between the initially promised date and the day after.
If you've ordered recently, i.e. in the past 2-3 weeks, what was your experience?

Do you have an Amazon Locker location near you (you can check here)

I only use delivery to my home address as a last resort (i.e. it is not possible to deliver to an Amazon Locker - typically if the item is too large or it is not being shipped by Amazon); no reason to take a risk of porch pirates.

We order occasionally but always with cheap free delivery. There does not appear to be a formula to figure out when something comes. They give a date with the order, then email an update for an earlier delivery, then an email moving it back, and so on. Had some items out for delivery, then changed and came the next day. If you want consistency, pay for faster delivery...

Sounds like you should aim for Wednesday. There are no guarantees. Items ship from different warehouses, etc.

I placed an order on 15 JAN to be delived on 17 JAN (yesterday)

Yesterday, mid-day got an email from AMZ saying it will be delivered on 20 JAN.

And if I ordered right now, 0316hrs 18 JAN, it would be delived tomorrow, 19 JAN, to my local AMZ locker.

Huh.

No prime and my deliveries come usually in the window or earlier. Sometimes I get no notice until the day before it comes, but that's still been relatively on target.

Intermittently slower than promised here.

Ordered several things on Jan 11, last Saturday. One item came on Sunday, one on Monday.

The last item came yesterday.

Thanks! Do you know if your order is fulfilled by/shipped by Amazon?
I'm surprised you were shown 2 day shipping if not Prime. I've never seen less than 3 days out (showing Jan 21 today.) I feel like it would show at least 4 days out back when it was more reliable.
