Adhesive, colored LED light, strip tape should be banned
#1
Whoever invented adhesive, colored LED light, strip tape should be strung up and kicked in the nuts.

I'm all for letting a teen express their creativity and personality within the confines of their bedroom, but I had no idea what I was in for. Teens see this stuff on social-insta-tok and innocently ask to decorate their room with it. DON'T DO IT. Suggest an LED color lamp or something as alternative. DO NOT get the adhesive strips.

Not only are color LED lights of any type unbelievably gawdy in a teen's bedroom, when they inevitably get tired of the LED lights (thankfully), the adhesive rips off the wall paint and primer down and through to the sheetrock paper. Ask me how I know!   Angry

A good friend let her daughter pick the color for her room, as a teenager.
She picked the hottest pink I have ever seen. If I recall correctly, I think even the ceiling was that color.
It made my eyes hurt even to look at it.
There is no telling how many coats of Kilz had to be used to cover that up. Lol

I remember visiting someone at their place of business, and the office had the smell of fairly fresh paint.

And the color of Pepto Bismol.

'It has a calming effect' I was told.

'I don't think that was the exact color suggested by Psychology Today' said I.

'In a week you'll be homicidal'.

It was repainted in a week to a pastel green.

we like 'em. Put 2 strips in the bedroom above exposed beams facing up.
Nice light.

I'm guessing (since you didn't explicitly state it) that this is one of YOUR teens. Big Grin

I'm actually quite for adhesive LED strips -- they solved a major problem for me in my kitchen. (I use them for "natural" light, but they are capable of doing pretty much any color, if I decide to go swag.)

My then teen daughter put them up, no problems getting them down.

My godson put them as crown molding on every wall. There are no shadows in his room.

Usually has a warm white, but will switch to hell red when he's relaxing!
