I responded at one point on the old forum. Unclear if you have seen it.

They are TERRORISTS. This is their last insurance policy before total obliteration from the face of the earth. They have NOTHING to gain by releasing the hostages and EVERYTHING to lose.

As soon as the last hostage (dead or alive) is in possession of IDF, Gaza ceases to exists.

Don't get me wrong. HAMAS are terrorists. Feeling compassion for people of Palestine does not meat supporting HAMAS.
Just as feeling compassion for the people or Israel and the victims of Oct 7 does not meat supporting the brutal policies of Netanyahu.
