I'd say it's time for a refurb Shuffle..
At least it'll cost less to replace the NEXT time!

Paul, in our second phone conversation after she broke the news to me I suggested that very thing to her. She says she likes to "see what she's listening to." We had a good laugh about that one...

Funny, I just found an iPod matching your description the other day.... Nah, just kidding, sorry.
100 days huh. Let me see- I've got 113, I think. My SO still has the 2GB nano I got her for passing her phd qualifier exam, that just means 2 more years of being poor. Yes, love is grand.

Sounds like a good time to buy her expensive merchandise.

She tells me how she feels bad that I pay for everything, and I buy her cool things like the iPod, and how she can't afford to get me anything like that.
I just smile and say "you will", one day...

If she keeps losing her iPods then it will end up a GRAND

It's time to upgrade to the 5G s/o.
You've been warned. Hopefully she won't lose her way to the church. It's SHUFFLE time!

Mine lost two in quick succession, too: a 1gb Shuffle bought days after they came out, and a personalized Nano the very day it came out.
At which point I just smiled wanly and say "I'm sorry, I'm not in the iPod business any more." She did indeed buy a refurb Shuffle on her own dime and has held on to it somehow. |
