Depends on if it's a custom install or not. I think you can still get it to install IE.

I didn't see any option to Install IE and it's not in my Apps folder.

I.E. for Mac has been dead in the water for a while now, I"d be surprised if it would be included in a Tiger install. Jaguar, probably, Panther, maybe. Tiger, definitely not.

IE was with Jaquar, never Tiger, not sure about Panther as I mostly skipped it.

It was with Panther. I guess I did an upgrade so I have it with Tiger too, but I checked the disc and it's not on there.

IE is the only app that consistently crashes when I run it in Tiger and I'm a bit suspicious about that, but don't know whether to blame MS or Apple.

IE shouldn't be installed on any modern mac operating system, it's not supported anymore by MS, is no longer updated or even kept current. It's obsolete on the mac side. I don't think it's either safe or useful since MS withdrew support.
