some PCs can't use a hard drive over 32 gigs AFAIK. And FAT32 can't be used on Win2K or XP on a volume larger than 32 gigs unless you use 3rd party formatting solutions.

so there are some reasons why some poor idiot might be fooled into spending that much.

And $30 is about the cheapest you can buy any HD these days anyway... it's like they're not even worth the shipping/stocking/sales costs at a lower price point.
