OT: Need recommendation for cheap .NET 2.0 hosting
#1
Hi,

I currently have my web site and e-mail hosted with RealWebHost. Unfortunately I want to convert my web site to .NET, so I am looking for cheap .NET 2.0 hosting. Any recommendations?

This really has to be cheap hosting. I do not want to pay more than $10-15 a month (currently I pay $6.99). Support for multiple domains and database will be a huge plus. No shopping carts, web site builders, and similar stuff. This is going to be strictly for personal web site.

Thanks,
maurycy

whats the diff between .net and .com or .org?

i use hostrocket.com (for about 5 sites) -- $9 a month -- 5 gigs of space and pretty much unlimited everything else.

Why do you want to do that? I'm not judging. I'm just curious.

I am assuming that you are referring to Microsoft's .NET programming framework. How it relates to websites, I'm unclear.

Sorry for the confusion. I meant hosting that supports ASP.NET 2.0, not the domain type (.com, .net, etc). This would have to be MS hosting on MS server :-(

TheTominator: I know PHP, ASP and ASP.NET and as much as I like open source and OSX, I think that I can code web site a lot faster with ASP.NET than with PHP. That's maybe because I work with .NET technology and PHP I just learned in my spare time.

Seacrest: I do not have PC at home. Just one Powerbook which I do not keep on 24/7 :-)
