#1
Apple CFO Peter Oppehnheimer "lets slip" a hint about a "product transition"
in September "on which he refused to elaborate".

Apple Television, not just Apple TV?

Apple TVR?

Stevie is making a better, quieter washing machine?

Actually, the use of the work "transition" is interesting. I'll assume it means "moving to include..." a new product without forsaking others.

I was thinking the same thing. A totally new iPod with the iPhone interface and touch screen would cost them money in R&D and in changing over all the production lines, yes?

speculations...

1) 6G iPod
2) rumored elimination of 17" iMac, lowering price of 20" iMac (and gross margin)
3) mini line eliminated with new replacement that offers smaller gross margin

Transition from being a "computer company" to being a "gadget company"?

That's "worst case" of course..
