Anyone want to diagnose a silly Illustrator CS2 issue? (bandwidth, long)
#1
so heres my file after opening it -- and the link is missing to the photo -- so i click on the link in the links pallet and get this:

the preview is upside down and backwards. so i update the file, and sure enough thats how it comes in, with the addition of this 2 line box

so i rotate and flip the photo, link looks good. so, to be sure, i then "place" the photo again off to the right side, its "linked" not embedded.

Close and save the file, open it again -- and i get this...

same missing, backwards, upside down link =(

any thoughts?

I would try opening the PShop file and resaving it as another name and try reimporting it.
Restarting Illustrator wouldn't hurt either

That looks like a very difficult way to relax outdoors.

Is it perhaps a layered tiff with adjustment layers perhaps? I'd try resaving the TIFF after applying the adjustment layers. Don't save with compression. I get that exact problem with my TIFF files sometimes. There is something in my TIFFS that illustrator doesn't like.
