I wish all the people who say they're bored with low-scoring soccer games got a chance to watch the Mexico/Argentina game today. Now that was a tense, exciting affair. Too bad they got rid of the Golden Goal rule though -- two OT periods are a bit much if someone manages to break through.

I disagree. I think the two OT periods is a more even way of deciding the match. Although I was rooting for the Mexican side, I'm glad Argentina did get the win since they were jobbed on their 2nd goal during regulation when they were called for offsides. Germany again looked like the team to beat earlier in the day.

Nice to see a match where the ref wasn't equally as important as the players.

The "job" jobs broke even today. Argentina should've had a man sent off near the end of the first half for fouling on a Mexican breakaway.
Rodriguez' goal in OT? Best strike of the tournament thus far. Both clutch and beautiful.
Argentina/Germany should be a fabulous match.
