I just started using my banks online banking/billpay. I can use safari to use their web based service but they don't offer direct connection through quicken.
I am trying to decide if it is worthwhile to switch banks to use Quicken directly so I don't have to enter every transaction 3 times. 1.Bill Pay, 2. Quicken register, 3. Paper register.
If you manually enter debit card or checks does quicken duplicate the transaction when you connect to the bank?
If you send payees a payment through quicken does it show in the register? or does it have to clear the bank first?
Have you found the reliability good enough to give up keeping a paper register in your checkbook?
