I went to two comic book stores in NYC last year during the event.

Jim Hanley's Universe on 33rd had the comic books behind the counter five feet away from you and you had to select 6(?) comics out of the 30(?) available. No browsing. Total nonsense.

Forbidden Planet on 13th St. had all the comics in 10 long boxes in the back. They give you a bag and tell you to take as many as you want. Just try and not make a mess. I took home a 3 inch stack of free comics.

Most of the stuff is garbage. Went straight into the trash after a quick flip through.

They were also handing out these Lego-like 2 inch figures. Pretty cute. It matches my white iMac at work Smile
