I have an averetec tablet PC.
The plastic plate protecting the lcd from the tablet pen is broken. The LCD itself (thankfully) is in mint condition.

problem is, I sent the laptop in to customer service and they fixed some things but returned it with the plastic overlay unfixed saying that the LCD was damaged and wanted me to pay $400 to fix it.
I tried over the phone to explain it that there is a plastic cover to 3 different tech support agents. Unfortunately the tech agents that received the laptop took pictures with the unit turned off. .... and to most people their pictures did indeed look like the LCD was broken.
Well I e-mailed them back with the pictures shown above and again explaining the fact that the cover over the lcd not the LCD itself is broken... I'm hoping they get it.
So I guess I"m looking for any information online or pictures etc that might help them understand from a source they can look up themselves? I'd love to send them a few links....
Thanks guys!
