[quote jdc]why not pickup a cheap epson R220 and print ON the cds instead of labels? It's a bit of a hassle with these little guys, no? My R300 and R320 (replaced the 300) both came with those silly little adapters for printing on the little guys and it seemed like it was more trouble than it was worth.
All the same, I would forwarn users picking up the cd's that they are not for use with a slot-load drive. I've seen the results from ignorant users trying to slam them in. EDIT: I get my media from cdrdvdrmedia.com, looks like they have a good deal on these too: http://cdrdvdrmedia.com/ritek-business-c...discs.html

There are so many slot-loading CD-players out there, that you should not do this.
People will be pretty pissed when the break their drives. Business cards should not be hard to make

[quote bazookaman]I know business card CDs and slot loading players are a no no. What about the round mini CDs?
same problem.

[quote spacescape]We will be using the labels w/a Canon Color Copier (Laser?) and am wondering if it's best to use the Matte Labels.
I'm also planning on getting a Business Card HandiCD Labeler Kit from Neato. You must enjoy angering and alienating your customers. 1. Business card CDs cost about $300 to remove from slot-loading drives (which are dominant on Macs and becoming very popular on PCs). We do a *lot* of this, and it REALLY pisses off the "victim" who ALWAYS vows NEVER to do business with that company again. 2. Labels come off too easily and gum up CD drives. In short, this plan of yours is A VERY BAD IDEA. Rethink it.

Just print up a bunch of click pens with the company name on them. And have a stack of regular sized CDs with the multimedia on it. Everyone loves free click pens!
And don't forget to hire a "booth babe". Oh but wait... if your entire budget is only $100, this might not be a good idea.

booth babes have gone mainstream
