OT: Why was there no "who has the day off. ." thread today. . .
#11
I took the day off. It was beautiful in the hills and I spent the day on the deck getting the railings finally all up so I don't have to worry about inadvertently stepping off into the void. Warm and sunny and I was able to leave the door open all day. Soooo nice.

Today was my first day off in ages. To make ends meet about 3 months ago I had to take a second full time job. I am having some hours cut from both places (not my choice) so I will be having Monday off on a regular basis. Spent the day with my wife. We went golfing. Her second time ever. First time was for her birthday last year. Both times we only did nine holes but our score looks like we did 18.

Wrote in "Marching Inland" ( http://www.tomlewis.net/lyrics/marching_inland.htm )

Columbus he set sail to find out if the world was round;
He kept on sailing to the west until he ran aground.
He thought he'd found The Indies, but he'd found the U.S.A.;
I know some navigators who can still do that today.

I'm marching inland from the shore;
Over me shoulders I'm carryin' an oar.
When someone asks me, "What
is that funny thing you've got?"
Then I know I'll never go to sea no more, no more,
Then I know I'll never go to sea no more.
