Source for specific computer fans?
#1
I'm looking to find a place that offers a large array of computer fans, at the must it has to be 40mmx40mmx10mm and ideally there would be two that fed off of a single 3 pin connector.

I know this is a long shot, but I figure it's worth an ask.

The only problem you might have is the the three pin connector. Most are two. The three pin connectors are usually for thermally controlled fans. At least that is what I remember.

Fan RPM I believe.

For work I'm building several computers which involve a fan set up like that, I don't enjoy having to take the time to hook the two fans together, remove the connector, extend the connection and solder a 3 pin connector onto it.

Just trying to save time.

I have had good luck matching fans through the Jameco catalog, either on-line or the paper one. Don't have it handy at the moment though, it got packed when I was laid off last year.

Hmm. Those aren't too bad, I'll also look around and see what else they've got.

Thanks!

carm, that first one has really good airflow for a 40x40x10 fan. Most are 5.5-6.0 cfm.

That second one is pretty loud though.

just my 2 cents worth.

I researched the 40x40 fans for G4 zifs and OCing in B&W machines.
