I could use a faster laptop, but nothing terribly fancy. I found a PowerBook G3 Lombard (bronze keyboard) in good shape and decent specs:
333 MHz, 192 MB RAM, 4 GB hard drive, DVD, FireWire PC card, and an OS X installation disc (still trying to figure out what OS X release).
The seller wanted $100, but I'm shooting for $75. Should be good for basic web, email, and simple writing. Unfortunately, the battery is basically dead and a newer battery with at least some charge will set me back another $50-$100, depending on whether I can snag a used, but still good unit, or have to pay full price for a new battery.
Even with the battery being dead, being able to have a semi-portable Mac a wee bit newer than my PowerBook 1400c would be nice. My goal was to try to score a decent shape and specced WallStreet for $25, but most sellers still want at least three times that amount for their WallStreets.
Any thoughts? Better deals out there on eBay, one of the mid Atlantic Craigslist, LEM Swap, that I may have missed? Thanks.
