Very true, just as Hummers are best in specific situations, though nobody has come up with the specific situation that a Hummer H2 is useful in yet (useless offroad and pretty worthless onroad). I'd say the entire concept of a large SUV as a vehicle to go to the grocery store is a sham.

Love my Jetta Diesel. Even doing a lot of 80 or 90 I get 43 MPG. Screw the hybrids until they offer a Diesel because the high low end torque of a Diesel and the hybrid's generator are made for each other.

the original post absolutely never mentioned her driving habits. Read it again, word for word, line by line. No mention of her driving habits.

He only brings it up in response to a query from pRon about a refference to a previous post, and that is way down in the string of posts in this thread.

to she drives like a maniac? That could easily be that the Highlander's design causes increased drag from the increase in speed. Ro V Squared. It could be poorly geared. It could be lots of things, but based on the original info, in those few sentences, nothing points to she drives like a maniac.

backpedal all you want. It sure didn't start with an exclamation of her poor driving habits, or even a description that hints at poor driving habits. All it did was describe fuel economy.

That was Mint's original claim, presumably a complaint.

Then we realize that this isn't coming from HIM directly; this is from his insane sister's driving.

Of course, no one promised *what* mileage Mint's insane sister would get, so where does he come from saying that her insane driving gives "mileage that's a lot less than promised"?

He comes from a position that's at the very least not thought out at all, not even the first little bit.

HIs is an insane comment with no meaning. He observes that his insane sister gets less than what the sticker says. Since the sticker has nothing to do with how his sister drives, and since he finally admitted that his sister drives insanely, then Mint came in and made an insane statement.

Mint obviously has problems going through life, and he's happy to document the specifics here.
