So, I have just finished migrating to my new 20" craigslist intel iMac - sweet deal - 500 gig drive, 2 gig of RAM bluetooth keyboard - all for 1K! No mouse, but I have one coming and am using the one from my old iMac 450 - which I just sold for $200 (now it is upgraded to 128gig HD and 640 mg of ram, so is not just the normal throwaway iMac.
Anyway - I'm really pleased with my buy - Merry Christmas to me!

i've been lusting after the 20" intel core 2. refurbs are at $1299 so $1k, no tax, no ship w/extras for the original inel imac is a nice deal. please take a bow, u earned it.
i know the core 2 is quicker than the original intel imac. i just wonder by how much when using final cut suite. anyone have any thoughts? maginally quicker? measurable quicker? noticably quicker?
care to share?
