Hats off to larry on this coup...
ESPECIALLY since there were no computer announcements today.
How the hell did apple allow this?
It reminds me of the move insider tried to do a few years ago before apple slammed him... but done right...

Wow, Axiotron's "Industry News" list is painfully outdated -- last story is dated 3/15/06. They need to pull that off of their main page; it makes them look kind of sloppy.

Will Larry be in Black Turtleneck?
They should give away one to the fifth poster on this thread. That would be fun.

I see the specs indicate a "WACOM Penabled Digitizer". Does that mean
one can draw in, say, Photoshop or Painter directly on the display with
full pressure-sensitivity, like on a Wacom Cintiq LCD display? If you can
do this, then the Modbook would be a true digital sketchpad.

The lack of a mac tablet was why my wife was thinking of choosing Windows for her medical practice. So we're gonna have some research to do.

I just saw it on the show floor (hadn't planned so no pics). It is nice and compact. Does handwriting recognition like the Newton and Inkwell in OS X.
Talked to Larry for a few moments about it.
Price about $2199 (or was it $2100?) pre-order with Show special, slightly higher after Macworld. It is a build to order item with several options.
It is nice
Gotta run to dinner.
Buy...
EDIT: Macworld slip. that should be BYE!
