MacBook Magsafe deal? Report from CompUSA GOOB sale
#1
Random crap for about the same price as you'd find (with a little effort) online.

BUT, they had a whole bunch of 60W Magsafe power bricks for 30% off which put them around $50+tax. Sounds good, though it won't work (apparently) on a MacBook Pro.

They will work on a MBP too (plus smaller!)

I've used several, over the period of days, with MBP's and it powered/performed just like normal.

I thought the problem was it wouldn't charge the MBP while using it.

That is what I have heard--they will charge or run the MBP--not both

If that's the case, it's still a good buy--don't think I would make it my travel charger, though, even if it is smaller.

Yes, the Macbook 60W charger will run and charge the MBP. I have been using solely a 60W charger for the last week and it definitely charges the MBP while I use it, and as far as I can tell, isn't any faster or slower than the 85W charger.

Yes...it does charge.

It has for me - perhaps not at the same rate (I haven't tested), but it does charge.

COOL! Next time I'll be by there is 12 days from now... maybe they'll be 50% off by then.
