I am so sick of these "stars" acting as though they are the authority on absolutely everything and that
us serfs should cow to their every whim! I would have no problem with them lecturing us on eco,
moral or any other issue if they lived what they preach. but they simply don't.

I am totally unbiased. Whatever they attack I am for. What they are for I detest. I remember Streisand after trying so hard for Clinton's first election being disappointed she was not relied on as a Foreign Affairs expert. Yup Babs, Bill was wrong in not taking your far reaching knowledge in this area. Has she retired again lately?

It seems to me it must be the visual component of their art that upsets some people when movie stars make political statements. Most of those complaining about "Hollywood types" have no problem agreeing with conservative radio-show entertainers who have no special education or knowledge in politics, art, music, science or religion.

Movie stars have as much knowledge as political commentators? I love it when these radio people are bashed by people who have never listened. Movie stars probably rely on watching Katy Couric once a week for their expertise. That and frou frou cocktail parties with only their own kind multiplying the misinformation. Why are you defending them? Why not rely on plumbers for political know-how? They do not have paparazzi chasing them around and do not live in Malibu? I guess living there is the equivalent to having an PHD in political l science.

The right wingnuts can't stand Hollywood types unless they're their Hollywood types like George Murphy (Google him), Ronald Reagan, Arnold and now maybe Fred Thompson.
These unthinking rubes should be made to sit in a room listening to their own rhetoric replayed at them for a week; that should finish off any brain cells that are still alive in their numbskulls.

Ronald Reagan has many audio tapes, CD's, books and DVD's recounting his great speeches. I don't think I can say the same about any other president. They thrill people. I guess all the unthinking rubes that enjoyed Reagan's speeches greatly are inferior to the superior intellect of the libs. Libs saving the world I guess makes them immune from being arrogant because they are on a mission from Marx..
Reagan won by nearly ten percent in both his firstPresidential elections and twenty in his second. I guess there must have been a lot of rubes then. Liberals must have had a difficult time living with so many inferior people.
