... I said 'I do'.

Twentynine wonderful years and still going as strong as ever.

A gentle day in store.

We had four friends over for dinner last night. Sarah did an amazing asparagus souffle and then a great hazelnut meringue nest with fresh strawberries (picked that morning) with creme fraiche. Today a slow start but surprisingly we will be in different rooms for a while. She will watch the Wimbledon final and I will watch the British Grand Prix. Afterwards a wander down to the village which is in the middle of its annual Carnival, a two day event, then meet with some family at the cottage by the river a couple of miles away to watch the boats go by, sip some Pimms and eat strawberry sponge cake.

Maybe not so gentle but should be good.

Congratulations! We just celebrated number 30 a month ago. It's hard to believe, because I feel like we should be only about 35 years old. We've been through a lot of things, good and bad, and had lots of adventures. Sounds corny, but I love her more now than ever.

Congrats to all of you! That's wonderful, and this is the sort of item you don't hear enough about, what with all the bizarre torture and killings going on around the world. Thanks for making such a positive post. This is our 25th year together, btw.

Congrats. We had #23 yesterday. Spent the day at my nephew's wedding. He was the ringbearer for us back in 1984. Beautiful day!
