After couple of weeks opf absence I return to my office only to find out that my G5 is off and is making a clicking noise. When I pressed the power bitton, it clicks and the light above the button briefly lights up. What could have happened?

When in doubt, unplug the machine and leave it off for an hour or so - then plug in and attempt to start up.
No guarantees, but sometimes it works.

I didn't check that link...but open the case...pull out the fan, and there is a little button on the motherboard to reset the PMU. Press that and most likely your machine will come back to life. You can leave the G5 plugged in for this.
...do that then try the power button.

Thanks Pat. It sure sounds like a PS issue. On my Sawtooth, I had to repacle the ps twice.
