Nice, but does it run OS X?

I wish Apple had gone all black on the front of the new iMac. Looks cleaner.

I wish they'd left it white. Black is getting so tiresome.

sigh......

let's see, $1799 for the premium Gateway One 19" 1440 X 900 w/ 2GHz C2D running Vista, and how much iMac can you get for $1799 these days? oh my gosh, a 24" 1920 X 1200 w/2.4GHz C2D running OS X... hmmm, tough decision because of the Gateway One's second drive bay...

I like the combined power/USB/ethernet/audio box that sits on the floor away from the computer itself. If I happen to "forget" this if I move the computer to another location, will I have none of those functions on the computer itself? I didn't dig too far in on their site to find out for myself. I just hate those kinds of devices. It's like the special power cords on the backs of the G4 iMacs, or the iPod dock connector cable, or the MagSafe power adapter. Way too specialized to replace or find a substitute for in a pinch...
