Soundtrack Pro Problem

I have been trying to record some voice-overs into Soundtrack Pro (version 2.02), using an M-audio MobilePre USB box connected to my Quad G5, running 10.5.4

When I hit "record" the first time the recording stops after about a second.

If I hit "record" again, it stops after an even shorter duration.

I've disconnected all the USB devices except for the MobilePre and the Heyboad & Mouse.

I've repaired permissions, zapped the PRAM, and trashed the sountrackpro.plist file in various permutations -- no effect.

The set up was working yesterday. The problem appeared after I quit, and relaunched, Soundtrack Pro.

Anybody have a clue what could be going one?

I don't know what the problem is, have you checked the project sample rate?

I have posted questions at this forum before- http://www.2-popforums.com/forums/forumd....php?f=149 and received some decent help. I would suggest trying there.
