32" Sony (about 8 years old) and a 24"? Sanyo (6 years). Why did Apple chose NOT to support the older sets? Bet they would have sold 2-3X as many units...
Not everybody is cutting edge and I'd like to see my Mac content (iTunes, Photos, etc.) on my TVs. Buy the way, I do have a NEW 24" iMac Alum, and a 15" MBP purchased this year. Guess I should have bought new TVs instead. Hmmmmmm.

Phillips 50" plasma hooked up to the HD/Digital cable service.
Sanyo 27" CRT in master bedroom, plus a Sanyo 19" and a no-name 13" CRT/VCR combo in other rooms. 4 computer monitors, one flat panel the rest are CRT's

When my 27" CRT died in 1998, I replaced it with a 36" CRT WEGA.
Just sold it this week and replaced it with a 47" Philips LCD. Probably would have lived with the WEGA a few more years, but I'm moving overseas and the WEGA is one HEAVY sob (250 pounds)! I didn't want to deal with it and the Philips is dual voltage. Obligatory link: http://www.theonion.com/content/node/28694

Every TV in the house is non-hdtv - all date from 1998 or earlier - some MUCH earlier.

What's HDTV? Is it something new?
![]() I have a 32" Toshiba which I bought in 1999 when I moved in and 13" TV/VCR Combo in the Bed Room and a 27" Panasonic which I acquired from my parents which is at least 15+ years old. They are all going strong. Only CRT's but if they aren't broke don't fix them. I would love an HDTV but figure I might just wait until 2009 when everything is HDTV and Digital because then I can maybe put an antenna on the roof and cancel my cable. I won't hold my breath but it would be nice.

1 HDTV LCD 32".
17 year old Sony wouldn't turn on. Went without for about a year, then bought the LCD during a "tax free day". Found out my surround sound and DVD is NOT HDTV capable. drat. I dislike black bars and distorted zooming/filling. I can't imagine some poor soul with a 19" (or worse yet a 13")TV playing a letterboxed movie. I hope they improve OTA recievers because I haven't seen one that can handle weak signals without dropping the picture, yet. Talkradio may just get a larger audience due to digital TV when analogue is gone.
